Our Annual Events

As you know, The Orr Center is a not for profit community center. We try to find creative ways to raise money while offering something to the community. A LOT of work goes into these events, but the enjoyment and camaraderie make them one of the best parts of what we do! We are hoping you turn these events into annual traditions for yourself and the whole family!

Annual Pumpkin Fest

Fall is an amazing time in Minnesota and at The Orr Center. The Pumpkin Fest is fun for everyone. We have food, contests, crafts, raffles, a pumpkin contest, pumpkin chunkin, live music and games and activities for the whole family. This is our final outdoor hurrah before old man winter drives us inside!

Christmas Lights
Annual ORR-Ville Holiday Fest

ORR-Ville is our version of a Norman Rockwell Christmas. We welcome you to a winter wonderland full of ice laced woods, mischievous snowmen, warm winter mittens, beautifully trimmed trees, wassail, decadent baked goods, gifts for everyone on your list and a couple of very special guests. Orr-Ville runs between Thanksgiving and Christmas and we pack in the events including everything from gift making classes for adults and kids to shopping to holiday movies to wonderful treats that you don't have to cook yourself! Save room on your calendar and support your community center!

Cut Wood
Annual Wood Fest Coming 2020

It takes about 100 cords of wood to heat just the elementary wing of the Orr Center during the long cold Minnesota winters! That's $9,000+ per year. This event goes a long way toward helping us meet our wood requirements. Our annual wood fest is a way to get the community involved in Minnesota's logging history. Join us for flapjacks, flannel, wood carving/cutting/splitting, log flipping, and wood chopping contests. We may even dream up a beard contest, flannel fashion show, or a pancake eating contest....you never know! Be sure to wear your best flannel!
